PLASTERED. The Poster Art of Australian Popular Music

launched last night at the CHERRY BAR, melb. it's a visual history of music posters in australia from cheap lithographed flyers of early jazz shows to bombastic rave culture pole posters. over 500 posters from five decades.

i'm lucky enough to have a scattering of my poster work used here, some featured as full pages. I'm summed up thusly:

"Dillon Naylor's art is full of kids grown up wrong and monsters on the prowl. Naylor takes the standard issue comic book art and turns it into lurid posters of delinquient kids, ghoulish barbers and gas station attendants"

lurid and proud!

it's an over-sized hard cover weighing in at 320 pages, fill colour, for $69 bucks. not bad, really. should be available soon/now in most big bookstores. take a look.
